Abstract
Kitchener's Fairway Road bridge opened in 2012, crossing both the Grand River and the popular K. D. Woerner Family Trailway (Walter Bean Grand River Trail). Side paths veer off the main trail to graffiti-festooned bridge supports. Messages too: "I'm sorry." "I'm 20 something with sadness in my veins and I'm feeling so alone." In the solitude of their night, some bare the burden of their grief in such odd-hours underspaces.
