Abstract
The Benevolent Protective Order of Elks Lodge #37 was established in Columbus on September 18, 1885. This building, former home of Isaac Eberly, was built in 1863. It was purchased by the Elks in 1900 and dedicated as the Elks Lodge on June 19, 1901. As a dedicated building for the club's use, it was a marked improvement over their previous meeting spaces; rooms on the 4th floor of the Commercial Block and rooms in the Stag Hotel. The building was demolished in 1927 after the Elks moved to a new location at 250 E. Broad Street. \n
