Abstract
L’objectiu d’aquest treball és oferir una primera aproximació de conjunt a la recerca dels darrers trenta anys sobre els processos de normalització de la llengua catalana en elsmitjans de comunicació convencionals (premsa, ràdio i televisió) i en els nous mitjans digitals en xarxa. En primer lloc, es resumeix la recerca sobre les relacions entre polítiques lingüístiques i polítiques de comunicació relatives als processos de normalització delsmèdia (status planning); en segon lloc, l’estudi del procés general d’estandardització de la llengua en els mitjans de comunicació (corpus planning), i, en tercer lloc, l’estudi dels processos i l’abast d’implantació del català als mèdia (extensió de l’ús).
