Abstract
Dentro da perspectiva de realizar uma modesta homenagem à Heleieth Saffioti, que faleceu em dezembro de 2010, a revista Métis publicará, neste dossiê especial dedicado aos estudos de gênero, uma versão editada de entrevista que a socióloga feminista concedeu em julho de 2008. Heleieth Saffioti foi autora de diversos estudos sobre a condição das mulheres na sociedade brasileira e latino-americana que se constituíram em referências obrigatórias para a crescente produção de estudos feministas no país, notadamente nas ciências sociais e na história. Nesta entrevista, Saffioti fala de sua trajetória intelectual, revelando aspectos de sua vida privada que mostram um olhar atento às dicotomias entre o pessoal e político. A publicação tem por finalidade igualmente multiplicar o acesso a um registro que contribui para as memórias dos feminismos e para questionar o lugar das mulheres na história.
