Abstract
En el trabajo se presenta un recuento de las situaciones y coyunturas políticas que durante el año trascendental de 1968 se manifestaron en el mundo y de manera particular en la región de América Latina y el Caribe. Se exponen las expresiones políticas que estuvieron interconectadas en torno a las protestas estudiantiles y juveniles que se dieron en aquellos momentos. De la misma manera, a cincuenta años de los sucesos, se destaca la relativa importancia y trascendencia del 68 que ha llegado hasta nuestros días.
