Le mouvement coopératif canadien comprend un mouvement anglophone et un mouvement francophone principalement concentré dans la province de Québec. Cet article porte exclusivement sur le mouvement coopératif québécois. Il comporte deux parties. La première section fait état de la variété d'organisations coopératives issues de l'entrepreneuriat collectif. La deuxième partie porte sur les systèmes d'appui à l'entrepreneuriat et au développement coopératif : le système gouvernemental, le système coopératif sectoriel et le système intercoopératif transversal. En conclusion, les auteurs expliquent le renouveau coopératif en avançant deux hypothèses : d'une part celle du rééquilibrage coopératif du Mouvement Desjardins qui imposerait à ce dernier de faire du développement coopératif un enjeu stratégique; d'autre part celle d'un entrepreneuriat collectif renouvelé par le mouvement de l'économie sociale et solidaire. Enfin, ils précisent les influences de modèles étrangers sur le processus de reconfiguration du système coopératif québécois.
