Abstract
This scoping review will highlight what we know about grapevine viruses in Canada and the United States. It will discuss the insects that are known or potential vectors of these viruses. The development of management strategies for both the viruses and insect vector populations will also be covered. Although Canada is the main focus of this review, Canadian and American research and knowledge produced on these topics will be included. Grapevine viruses are relatively new to Canada, and the Canadian grape and wine industry rely on the research produced in the United States to better understand the issue of grapevine viruses in Canada, and so it is important to include the research sources that inform our understanding in Canada.
