Abstract
Ce texte autobiographique et performatif d’accompagnement de ma recherche-création m’offre l’opportunité de revisiter la période s’échelonnant de l’automne 2019 à l’automne 2024, période durant laquelle je suis les cours à la maitrise et développe ma pratique artistique. Il témoigne ainsi du travail de création réalisé depuis mon entrée à ce programme jusqu’à aujourd’hui. Durant cette même période, ma vie personnelle est chamboulée par la maladie, puis le décès de ma conjointe, ainsi que celui de mon père. L’état de proche aidante occupe mon existence et teinte mon travail. La notion d’art et de vie confondus est intimement liée à ma démarche de création. Inconsciente dans un premier temps, elle est graduellement devenue apparente au cours de mon cheminement universitaire. Cette validation m’autorise à aller plus loin dans mes gestes artistiques. C’est ainsi que j’opèrerai ma première manoeuvre furtive à l’hiver 2021. Il s’écoulera 1810 jours entre le diagnostic de récidive de cancer de ma compagne et son décès; je fais de ce nombre l’axe de l’acte performatif que je propose du 2 au 6 décembre 2024 au Centre hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM), m’offrant ainsi une possibilité de me réapproprier ces moments de vie par la création. Je termine ce cursus, enrichie de filiations artistiques et théoriques qui ancrent mon propos.
