Abstract
The central objective of the research was to carry through the urban and partner-ambient inquiry, of the quarter D´Areia Step, inserted in the city of Saint Maria - RS, through the use of systems of geographic information, for the elaboration of thematic maps aiming at to contribute as well as for the urban planning and the ambient awareness.
