Abstract
L’article commence par les critiques et les revendications des organisations et des mouvements autochtones au gouvernement federal du Brésil pour présenter La gouvernance indigèniste comme le principal obstacle à la réalisation de gouvernance autochtone. Le fait que l'indigenisme de l'Etat a maintenant plus de cent ans, et il est soutenu par une idéologie et des pratiques assimilationnistes, pose des défis à la réalisation des droits collectifs reconnus par la Constitution. Pour cette raison, le texte présente des arguments qui justifient l'étude de l'administration indigèniste comme une forme de domination interethnique, ce qui souligne l'importance de comparer le système de création de terres indigènes au Brésil avec le processus de création de zones réservées pour les peuples autochtones d'autres pays, tels que Canada, une fois que les droits territoriaux sont essentiels pour concrétiser les droits et l'autonomie politique indigène.
