Abstract
Cette recherche exploratoire tente de cerner quelques dimensions relatives à la présence des jeunes en économie sociale. En regardant de plus près différents secteurs reconnus par le mouvement, nous tentons d’identifier quelques enjeux liés à la relève au sein des organisations. Nous portons également une attention aux nouveaux visages de l’implication jeunesse ainsi qu’aux éléments qui favorisent l’attrait et la rétention des jeunes en économie sociale. Puisqu’il s’agit d’un mouvement en plein essor, sont prises en compte quelques initiatives novatrices et portées par des jeunes et qui nous informent sur des secteurs en émergence tels l’agriculture bio- alimentaire et sa distribution, les espaces culturels alternatifs, les initiatives féministes ainsi qu’un bassin non négligeable de médias étudiants. En résumé, plusieurs perspectives de recherche s’offrent à la lecture de ce rapport et mettent en relief la nécessité de sensibiliser les jeunes à des formes d’entrepreneurship collectif et d’implication sociale alternative, mais aussi de mieux cerner le type d’initiatives qui correspond à leurs valeurs et à leurs intérêts.
