Abstract
ASEAN pada awalnya hanyalah sebuah organisasi regional yang bentuk \nkerjasamanya loose atau tidak longgar, namun dengan adanya ASEAN Charter \nmaka Negara-negara ASEAN ini membentuk suatu masyarakat ASEAN yang \nmempunyai tiga pilar utama yaitu, ASEAN Economic Community, ASEAN \nSecurity Community, ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community dengan tujuan \nterciptanya stabilitas, perdamaian dan kemakmuran bersama di kawasan. Pada \nawalnya ASEAN Community ini akan diwujudkan pada tahun 2020, namun di \npercepat menjadi tahun 2015.ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) sebenarnya \nmerupakan bentuk integrasi ekonomi yang sangat potensial di kawasan maupun \ndunia. Barang, jasa, modal dan investasi akan bergerak bebas di kawasan ini. \nIntegrasi ekonomi regional memang suatu kecenderungan dan keharusan di era \nglobal saat ini. Hal ini menyiratkan aspek persaingan yang menyodorkan peluang \nsekaligus tantangan bagi semua negara. \nAdapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauhmana \npengaruh Kerjasama Ekonomi ASEAN dalam konteks ASEAN Economic \nCommunity (AEC) terhadap kekuatan ekonomi Indonesia di kawasan ASEAN \n(Asia Tenggara) dilihat dari proses kesiapan Indonesia menuju AEC 2015. Dari \npenelitian ini diharapkan untuk menambah wawasan penulis baik secara teoritis \nmaupun praktis dalam menganalisa suatu fenomena isuregional maupun global. \nMelalui perumusan masalah dan kerangka pemikiran, penulis menarik \nhipotesis: “Apabila Indonesia mampu mengatasi hambatan-hambatan dalam \nkonteks kerjasama ASEAN Economic Community2015 dengan \nmemanfaatkan posisinya yang strategis, maka proses kesiapan Indonesia \nmenjadi kekuatan ekonomi dikawasan semakin cepat dan berdampak positif \nterhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional (makro).”Dengan demikian hasil \npengujian hipotesis berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut. \nMetode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Deskriptif Analitis \ndan penelitian Historis. Dari paparan deskripsi penelitian ini dapat ditarik \nkesimpulan bahwa melalui ASEAN Economic Community Indonesia memiliki \npeluangbesar untuk menjadi kekuatan ekonomi di kawasan Asia Tenggara dengan \nmemaksimalkan berbagai potensi dan keunggulan yang tidak dimiliki oleh \nnegara-negara ASEAN lainnya. \nKata kunci: Kerjasama Ekonomi Indonesia, ASEAN Economic Community, \nKekuatan Ekonomi di Kawasan Asia Tenggara.
