Ce travail propose l’examen des mesures d’assouplissement quantitatif qui sont l’un des grands sujets d’actualité dans le monde des politiques monétaires et des Banques Centrales. Dans un premier temps, les fondements théoriques ainsi que les risques potentiels liés à ces mesures seront décrit. De surcroît, le rôle et le mandat des Banques Centrales seront aussi évoqués. Dans un deuxième temps, cette mesure sera illustrée par l’étude de trois situations où cette dernière a été adoptée par les autorités monétaires. Finalement, ces analyses permettront de démontrer les effets positifs et négatifs de ces politiques monétaires ainsi que les différentes applications possibles.
