Abstract
De hoofdvraag die deze scriptie zal beantwoorden is: hoe construeren ladinos in Antigua Guatemala hun imagined community door middel van interetnisch contact? De identiteit van ladinos wordt beschreven en naar voren zal komen dat zij zich nog altijd boven de inheemse bevolking (indígenas) van Guatemala stellen. Deze identiteit heeft invloed op het contact tussen ladinos en indígenas. In deze scriptie komen ladinos aan het woord en beschrijven zij hun eigen identiteit.
