Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

That a disease so striking in its results as Paralysis
\nAgitans, and one imprinting such a characteristic appearance
\nupon its subjects should have remained unrecognised as a clinical entity until towards the end of the first quarter of the
\npresent century, is a remarkable instance of the fact upon which
\nCharcot so frequently laid stress, viz: that we often only see
\nwhat? we expect to see, and that prejudice blinds us to such an
\nextent that we pass by the most obtrusive facts, unless they
\nhappen to fit in with our preconceived notions; nay more, we
\nwilfully put aside facts which do not seem to coincide with
\nwhat we are looking for, and accept only those which we actually
\nexpect to find.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
