Abstract
The thesis deals with alternative education system in free schools. The author presents free education and explains the principles of freedom, democracy and responsibility. The thesis defines terms such as self-directed education, unschooling and individual education. The text is based on the experience of parents, Summerhill School and Sudbury schools, and aims to introduce such an alternative to the school and to gain information support for the author's teaching practice.
