Abstract
La Société d'habitation du Québec a conçu et réalisé un profil statistique de l'habitation pour chacune des 17 régions administratives du Québec ainsi qu'un profil synthèse pour l'ensemble du territoire québécois. Par cette initiative, la Société souhaite mettre en valeur le potentiel de l'abondante information dont elle dispose dans le domaine de l'habitation et en permettre l'usage élargi, en organisant la connaissance sur une base régionale et en assurant sa diffusion auprès de ses partenaires et de personnes intéressées sur tout le territoire. Elle croit ainsi contribuer à favoriser une prise en charge décentralisée de l'habitation par les responsables locaux et régionaux. Les profils visent à décrire la situation de l'habitation dans chacune des régions administratives, à faire ressortir les particularités régionales relatives aux conditions de logement des ménages et à la dynamique interne de chacune des régions et à analyser, sur une base comparative, la problématique ainsi que les principaux enjeux de l'habitation à l'échelle régionale. Leur facture vise à rendre l'information facilement accessible et compréhensible à l'aide de textes succincts, de cartes, de graphiques et de tableaux.
