Abstract
El uso continuo, desmedido y mal uso de distintas herramientas de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (como teclados físicos o virtuales), aumenta el riesgo de padecer de trastornos músculo esqueletales. Dentro de las múltiples lesiones producidas, aquellas relacionadas con la mano suelen ser más comunes y dolorosas que las producidas en cualquier otra parte del cuerpo y requieren de tiempo para su rehabilitación. El objetivo de los ejercicios puede ser mantener o recuperar movilidad; sin embargo, la valoración y seguimiento se hace de manera subjetiva a través de observación y de preguntas al paciente. A los especialistas y los empleados se les dificulta hacer el seguimiento, debido a la falta de información respecto a la frecuencia con la que se ejecutan los ejercicios. Así mismo, otro inconveniente de los ejercicios ocupacionales es el poco interés en su práctica debido a numerosos factores asociados con las características de los mismos como lo son el ser repetitivos, monotonos y falta de seguimiento adecuado, que terminan afectado la motivación de las personas.
