Ноземоза је болест органа за варење (средњег црева – правог желуца) одраслих пчела, матице, радилица и трутова, узрокована микроспоридијским гљивицама-микроспоридијама из рода Nosema. Таксономски гледано, донедавно се Nosema сврставала у групу праживотиња (Протозоа), али је развојем нових молекуларних, дијагностичких метода утврђено да узрочник показује више сличности са гљивицама, па је тако по најновијој класификацији Nosema сврстана у паразитске гљивице. Као узрочници болести, до сада су описане две микроспоридијске гљивице: Nosema apis (N. apis) Zander (1909) и Nosema ceranae (N. ceranae) Fries (1996). N. apis паразитира код европске медоносне пчеле (Apis mellifera), a N. cerana код азијске (Apis cerana) и европске медоносне пчеле. У периоду 1992-2017. микроскопски је прегледано 7386 узорака одраслих пчела са различитих подручја Републике Србије (петнаест округа и седамдесет девет општина). Део узорака медоносних пчела, у којима је утврђено присуство спора микроспоридија, у периоду 2009 - 2011., 2015. и 2017. подвргнут је молекуларној дијагностици, мултиплекс реакцији ланчане полимеразе (mPCR), коришћењем специфичних прајмера за регију гена 16S mPCR, Nosema врста. Преваленција присуства спора микроспоридије, у позитивним пчелињим заједницама, кретала се између 14,4% у 2013. и 65,4% у 1992. години. Резултати mPCR показују да N. ceranae није једина врста Nosema-e која инфицира медоносне пчеле у Републици Србији. Мешане инфекције N. apis/N. ceranae потврђене су у два узорка медоносних пчела које су mPCR лабораторијски испитане у току 2017. године. Мере превенције, добре произвођачке и добре пчеларске праксе, међу којима су редовна замена саћа, матица, клинички и лабораторијски прегледи, хигијенске мере у пчелињаку могу да помогну у спречавању ширења, сузбијању и искорењивању болести.
