Dans cet ouvrage, seize experts apportent un éclairage scientifique qui vise une meilleure compréhension multidisciplinaire du phénomène territorial, en se référant particulièrement, mais pas uniquement, aux territoires du Québec. Géographes, sociologues, démographes, économistes, politologues se sont en réalité donné le mandat de participer substantiellement à l'avancement des Sciences du territoire.
