L'articolo di Rose Marie Arbour(inedito) analizza il ruolo svolto dalla critica d'arte maschile nel creare la fortuna temporanea di un gruppo di artiste pos-automatiste del Québec negli anni '60. Tale 'fortuna' critica era in realtà una forma di sessisemo rovesciato, che usava gli stereotipi di genere legati alla 'donna artista' ed al suo essere 'naturalmente' puro istinto,vita ed emozione. Fin quando questi valori concisero con quelli che ispiravano il progetto politico di autonomia del Québec, le artiste fecero parte del mainstream. Qando invece questa coincidenza terminò, essere vennero rapidamente dimenticate.
