Abstract
Here’s what’s ahead for the October 20th, electronic Salisbury City Council Meeting… Mayor Alexander will proclaim October 24th and 25th as Make a Difference Day Council will consider: A resolution establishing the “Share 2 Care” Water and Sewer Assistance Fund. A resolution authorizing the upset bid process for a parcel of land on Barbour Street Incentives for “Project Hero” as requested from the Rowan County Economic Development Commission An update on the Kiva loan program And awarding Lieutenant Gregory Beam his sidearm and badge upon his retirement from the Salisbury Police Department The meeting starts at 6 pm. Anyone who wishes to speak during public comment must sign-up by 5 pm. on October 20th, by contacting Kelly Baker at kbake@salisburync.gov or 704-638-5233. Written comments received by October 20th at 5 pm will be shared with City Council but not read out loud during the meeting. All City Council meetings will be held electronically until further notice to remain consistent with limiting physical interactions and the potential spread of COVID-19. The meeting will be streamed live at salisburync.gov/webcast and on the City’s Facebook and Twitter account. You can also view the meeting later on demand at SalisburyNC.gov/videos, or broadcast on WSRG –TV, Hotwire HD channel 394 and Spectrum channel 16.
