Данная выпускная квалификационная работа посвящена выявлению факторов, обусловивших специфику формирования общины русских иммигрантов в Канаде, и разработке рекомендаций по взаимодействию между ними и Российской Федерацией. Особое внимание уделяется анализу и сопоставлению причин и последствий эмиграции, социального статуса, степени ассимиляции представителей пяти волн иммиграции. В работе также дается оценка текущих мер, применяемых органами исполнительной власти России и направленных на взаимодействие с соотечественниками в Канаде. В результате проведенного исследования делается вывод о том, что низкий уровень консолидации русской общины в Канаде обусловлен неоднородностью мотивов иммиграции и социального положения иммигрантов, ограниченностью контактов между представителями разных волн иммиграции и между поколениями представителей одной волны и т.д. Помимо того, был разработан ряд рекомендаций, направленных на укрепление сотрудничества РФ и российских соотечественников в Канаде в политическом, экономическом, культурном и научном направлениях.
