Abstract
Comment serait-il possible d’analyser cette nouvelle thématique de la souffrance au travail des journalistes québécois ? Sur la crise des médias, la littérature consacrée se concentre en grande partie à décrire le manque de ressources des médias face, notamment, à la montée des réseaux socionumériques. Cette attention au déclin des ressources est juste, mais elle ne suffit pas à rendre compte de la mutation des conditions de travail sous le capitalisme néolibéral. Dans ce chapitre, je présenterai plutôt comment une approche centrée sur la communication peut nous permettre d’analyser beaucoup plus finement la souffrance au travail des journalistes. Comme je le démontrerai, un cadre analytique s’inspirant de la relation entre la communication morte et la communication vivante sur un lieu de travail peut en dire beaucoup sur ce qui augmente ou dégrade la capacité d’agir des travailleurs. Cela peut aussi donner certaines clés pour favoriser l’émancipation des journalistes qui se sentent de plus en plus malades.
