Abstract
We shall continue with the publication of the Council Acts in the town Council of Calahorra; specifically in the year1523. This is a year marked by the demands \nof the war with France which tightened the current social balances —between hidalgos [noblemen] and citizens— and economic balances —chronic shortages \nin the local treasury— in the city of low Rioja; a period of turmoil but also a window of opportunity for the elite bound to trading activities and / or those who had legal training.
