Abstract
El presente trabajo pretende ser expresión de una serie de interrogantes que surgieron de la lectura del texto Teoría Tradicional y Teoría Crítica publicado en 1937 y escrito por Max Horkheimer. Si bien se aúnan en esta obra una multiplicidad de temáticas de las que por su interrelación podríamos hacer alguna breve mención, nos interesaría pensar y problematizar la cuestión específica del conocimiento; especialmente, el papel que juega la teoría como un camino de aproximación al conocimiento de un objeto, y en este marco, pensar en cuáles son las novedades que se advierten en la Teoría Crítica de la sociedad dentro del parangón de las ciencias sociales.
