Abstract
Tämän opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena on kehittää Suomen Punaisen Ristin Oulun osastossa toimivan VAPINA-ryhmän toimintaa. Lisäksi tarkoituksena oli selvittää, onko mahdollista levittää kyseistä ryhmä-toiminnan muotoa muihin Oulun piirin alueen osastoihin. VAPINA-ryhmä koostuu koulutetuista päihde- ja seksuaaliterveystyön vapaaehtoisista, jonka tarkoituksena on tuoda vapaaehtoiset yhteen suunnitte-lemaan ja luomaan yhteistä toimintaa. \n \nKehittämisideoita kerättiin vapaaehtoisilta kyselytutkimuksen avulla sekä VAPINA-ryhmään kuuluvilta että Oulun piirin muiden osastojen päihde- ja seksuaaliterveystyön vapaaehtoisilta. Kyselyssä haluttiin myös tietoa siitä, miten vapaaehtoiset kokivat nykyisen ryhmätoiminnan kokonaisvaltaisen tilanteen ja tarpeen omassa osastossaan. Lisäksi kyselyssä toivottiin heidän valottavan historiaansa ja motivaatio-taan vapaaehtoisina toimimisessa. \n \nOpinnäytetyössäni tuon esille Suomen Punaisen Ristin toimintaa yleisesti. Koska tutkimuksen kohtee-na on vapaaehtoisten koulutettujen päihde- ja seksuaaliterveystyöntekijöiden ryhmätoiminta, opinnäy-tetyössä käytetty teoriaosuus valaisee ennen kaikkea Suomen Punaisen Ristin toteuttaman päihde- ja seksuaalikasvatuksen näkökulmaa.
