Hope College class of 1941; Western Theological Seminary class of 1944. Van Wyk and his wife, Bertha, served as missionaries/teachers at Meiji Gakuin University in Tokyo, Japan. Van Wyk was awarded an honorary degree from Hope College in 1980. Includes articles written by Van Wyk for the Church Herald and other publications, and letters written from the Van Wyks to their sponsoring churches during their years as missionaries in Japan (1953-1985).
