Els vallencs que ja passem dels vuitanta anys tenim molts motius per sentirnos satisfets de com hem vist canviar la ciutat des de l'any 1925 fins a l'actualitat, especialment els vint-i-cinc ltims anys, en els quals han aflorat els esforos de les generacions dels quaranta als vuitanta, grcies al dinamisme dels seus responsables.Sn molts els temes que es poden assenyalar com a esdeveniments importants i transcendents que anomeno tot seguit: l'ampliaci i adequaci del Pio Hospital, les construccions del pont del Forns i de la Fraternal, l'ampliaci del polgon industrial, l'adquisici dels edificis de Ca Creus i Starpan, l'adquisici i urbanitzaci del Mas Miquel, la construcci i enjardinament de diverses rotondes, la restauraci dels campanars i del temple de Sant Joan, etc
