Abstract
Este artigo investiga questões de identidade nacional e cultural interamericana, analisando similaridades e distanciamentos existentes entre a cultura brasileira e a canadense, a partir da situação de suas produções cinematográficas. Para tanto, analisa a situação das produções nacionais (brasileiras e canadenses) em relação à indústria cinematográfica internacional de domínio hollywoodiano.Abstract: The present paper looks into questions of national and cultural inter-American identity. It analyses similarities as well as differences existent between the Brazilian and the Canadian culture from their cinematic production standpoint. It thus analyses the situation of national production (Brazilian and Canadian) regarding the international cinematic industry in Hollywood domain.
