Abstract
Ce compte-rendu fait suite à une sortie organisée par la Société Géologique du Nord le 27 avril 2019, et traite de la coupe de Cagny-la-Garenne, décrite et interprétée sur le terrain par Pierre Antoine. Cette présentation s'appuie sur une photographie de la coupe et diverses publications. Elle met l'accent sur la succession des dépôts et leur interprétation paléodynamique, replacée dans le cadre chronologique du Quaternaire. La mise en place de la séquence fluviatile et sa mise en terrasse couvrent les stades isotopiques 12 et 11. La succession des dépôts de versant, loess et colluvions issus de la craie, ainsi que le développement des paléosols s'échelonnent depuis le stade isotopique 10 jusqu'à l’Holocène.
