Abstract
This work focuses on the illicit trafficking of migrants; a problem that continues to be present in the XXI century, being an event that involves fundamental rights of people such as life, freedom, human dignity, among others, and that has remained in force over time. Therefore, this research condenses information on migration, the problems that arise taking into reference certain areas such as economic, political and cultural, consequently its effects and consequences. Thus, great powers such as the United States and Canada have joined forces to combat this problem, resulting in the STARSOM project. The research provided is related to the historical, systematic, deductive and explanatory research methodology.
