emory loss and dementia are growing global health issues. Indigenous peoples of Québec have long used Sweet Flag R cognitive support, circulation, and spiritual clarity. This disclosure protects traditional formulations by documenting their preparation methods for public domain use. Plant Material & Function:- Sweet Flag Root (Acorus calamus): Contains aromatic oils known to stimulate the nervous system, aid digestion, and imp circulation. Traditionally used to improve clarity of mind and recall. Preparation Process:Step 1 – Root Harvesting: Collect rhizomes in late summer. Wash, slice thin, dry in ventilated space.Step 2 – Tincture: 50 g dried root + 250 mL 40% alcohol. Steep 6 weeks, strain into amber bottles.Step 3 – Decoction: 25 g dried root simmered in 500 mL water 20 min, reduce to 250 mL, strain.Step 4 – Dosage: Tincture 5–10 drops up to 3x daily. Decoction 30 mL 1–2x daily. Optionally blend with honey. Applications:- Cognitive support and clarity of thought.- Memory retention and focus.- Preventive support for age-related dementia. Preservation Notes:- Tincture: Shelf life ~2 years, cool and dark. - Decoction: Refrigerated up to 1 week.
