Abstract

National (excluding Quebec) estimates of five-year net survival for 31 types of cancer. Net survival refers to the survival probability that would be observed in the hypothetical situation where the cancer of interest is the only possible cause of death. Predicted survival provides a more up-to-date estimate of survival by exclusively using the survival experienced by cancer cases during a recent period.
