Abstract
Abstract This paper aims to present the structure of a short course developed to promote teaching for creativity based on the interdisciplinarity between Art and Science. In addition, it seeks to reflect on the contributions that this type of teaching can provide for the initial teacher education of Chemistry and Visual Arts students. Throughout the short course, the influence on the development and expression of creativity of both the individual, the group and the environment in which the students are in is evident. Still, the interdisciplinarity explored within teaching for creativity contributed to the promotion of complex thinking, in which several dimensions of knowledge could be articulated.
