Abstract
This research directly addresses the Community Sector priority area by amplifying the role of community organizations & frontline actors in shaping equitable public healthcare delivery. Through partnerships with settlement agencies, CHCs, & community networks serving 2SLGBTQI+, ACB, & Francophone populations, this project ensures that newcomer voices are central to health system redesign. The use of peer researchers & community-led workshops ensures that knowledge is not only produced with communities but also mobilized by them. The project will build sector capacity through training, collaboration, & data collection strategies that improve service design & policy responsiveness. By the end of the project, we aim to have a co-developed, piloted, & evaluated Newcomer Health Plan, ready for broader implementation, & rooted in the realities of those most impacted by health access barriers.
