Abstract
El objetivo de la presente investigación es describir el sistema hidráulico tanque-pozo de Pozo Salado durante el porfiriato, incluyendo la captación, extracción, distribución del agua y la maquinaria de la noria. Se realizó un levantamiento topográfico y un relevamiento de información arquitectónica mediante inventario directo, acompañado de la elaboración de croquis y la conformación de un archivo fotográfico. Esta investigación reveló la existencia de un acueducto subterráneo que reconducía las aguas subálveas provenientes de un tanque hacia un pozo, donde eran extraídas mediante una noria de madera. A pesar de la carencia de información documental, del actual deterioro de la infraestructura y de la desaparición de elementos estructurales, los hallazgos aquí publicados son una contribución al conocimiento del sistema tanque-pozo en el altiplano potosino, una tecnología muy similar a la reportada en España, y una de las más avanzadas de la hacienda de Cruces durante el siglo XIX.
