Abstract
As a result of comparative contextual analysis of publications in the journals “Son of the Fatherland” and “Bulletin of Europe”, both negative and positive variants of the use of the concept “revolution” were revealed. In Russia in the first quarter of the nineteenth century, the concept of “revolution” was used primarily in a negative context.
