Abstract
Les carrefours jeunesse-emploi (CJE) jouent un rôle important dans la réussite éducative de plusieurs jeunes au Québec, entre autres, à travers le Créneau carrefour jeunesse, un programme financé par le Secrétariat à la jeunesse qui vise à favoriser la persévérance scolaire, mais aussi l’autonomie personnelle et sociale ainsi que l’implication communautaire et citoyenne des jeunes. Au Carrefour emploi Mékinac, en Mauricie, la conseillère à la persévérance, Katrine Dion-Sinotte, bénéficie d’un bureau au sein même de l’école secondaire en plus de temps dédié au soutien d’une classe satellite du Centre d’éducation des adultes du Saint-Maurice. Nous sommes allées à la rencontre de cette ancienne enseignante en adaptation scolaire qui a choisi de faire carrière dans le milieu communautaire ainsi que d’une élève qu’elle accompagne, Rose-Marie Guilbeault, afin de connaitre les particularités de cette collaboration étroite et ses retombées pour les jeunes.
