Abstract
The presented work contains a study of 100 largest international companies, according to the «market value» according to the Forbes Global 2000 rating for 2024, as well as 100 largest Russian companies, according to the «market capitalization» for the first quarter of 1 according to the Moscow Exchange, in order to identify companies engaged in fundamental research as part of their innovative activities in the field of advanced technologies. As a result of the conducted research, 2025 international and 13 Russian companies engaged in fundamental research in the field of advanced technologies were identified. As a conclusion, a recommendation has been formed on the need to include fundamental research in the innovative activities of companies that implement innovations in the field of advanced technologies.
