Abstract
Global milk production is expected to touch 992.7 million tonnes, showing a modest growth in milk production. India has been the world leader in milk production since 1998 and currently contributes nearly a quarter of the world’s total supply. In fact, milk production in the country has grown by an impressive 63.56% over the last decade—rising from 146.3 million tonnes in 2014–15 to 239.2 million tonnes in 2023–24 (BAHS, 2024).
