Abstract
Bioinspired Smart Nanogels Inspired by the spiny protrusions of waxberry, dendritic mesoporous silica nanoparticles are designed. By loading them with thrombin and GelMA, Chaoqiang Fan, Malcolm Xing, Shiming Yang, and co-workers create a new hemostatic system. Endoscopically delivered to gastrointestinal bleeding sites and activated by blue laser, this device rapidly forms a dual-network ‘gel-protein’ barrier within seconds, achieving ultra-fast hemostasis with enhanced clot stability.
