Abstract
Em Portugal a malha empresarial é marcadamente composta por PME, faz por isso todo o sentido perceber a importância das PME, no processo de internacionalização e na economia nacional, visto que estas contribuem fortemente para o comércio internacional português. Para entrar no mercado internacional urge a necessidade de planear uma estratégia empresarial, para enfrenta a crescente competitividade internacional. Assim, irá ter-se em conta um conjunto de fatores, que aqui serão dissecados, tais como, a cadeia de valor e motivações para a internacionalização, a vantagem competitiva internacional, um estudo de mercado, os modos de entrada nos mercados préselecionado, o perfil de abordagem nestes mercados e ainda um planeamento de uma estratégia de marketing mix. Assim, no caso concreto será analisada a internacionalização da PME, Ballet Rosa Confeções Lda, num mercado de nicho, que é o vestuário de dança, nomeadamente do ballet, tendo em conta a necessidade que a empresa encontrou em se expandir internacionalmente para o continente Americano, mais especificamente para os mercados dos EUA e do Canadá.
