Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Archaeological monitoring works undertaken in respect of proposed works at 13 Vennel Street, Stewarton in East Ayrshire (NGR: NS 42020 45770). The planning application comprises: the erection of a new one and three quarter dwelling house with detached single garage (planning application no 16/0830/PP). The proposed development falls within an archaeological sensitive area associated with the historic core of Stewarton. As the degree of modern disturbance within the application area appeared to be less than would normally be expected in a built-up area and it was possible that significant archaeological deposits or boundary features from the earliest stages of this part of the town's development may survive below modern ground level. As these deposits, which may include, pre-modern rubbish pits, midden spreads, wells, and horticultural or boundary features, would be destroyed by the development proposals East Ayrshire Council asked for a programme of archaeological monitoring works to be undertaken as a requirement of the issued planning consent. The archaeological works comprised monitoring of the removal of topsoil from the footprint of the new dwelling house as well the monitoring of foundation trenches; access / parking area and service trenches. Although there was potential to uncover archaeological deposits or features dating from the earliest stages of settlement for the town of Stewarton, no remains that pre-dated the nineteenth / early twentieth century were noted during the course of the monitoring works.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
