Abstract
Dans sa nouvelle "La nuit d’Abou’l-Qassim" publiée en 1997, le poète Salah Stétié (1929-2020) évoque un distique demeuré énigme pour le protagoniste Abou’l-Qassim. Ce dernier s’avère bien être un alter ego du poète qui cherche à révéler par sa parole la substance des choses. L’analyse essaie de révéler comment cette nouvelle réfère à la l’arrière-langue arabe de certaines tournures qui marquent et démarquent les textes français de Salah Stétié, et à son "Art poétique".
