Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

The project comprises a Level 3 (analytical) historic building record of a former police station on the south side of Madeira Road, Bournemouth. The current Bournemouth Police Station (Eastern Divisional Headquarters) lies on the north side of the road, opposite the former one. It is proposed to demolish the former police station as part of the development of a new school called Livingstone Academy and the building recording was prompted by a draft planning condition. It consists of an analytical written account informed by documentary research, a visual inspection and photographic and metric surveys of the building. The on site recording occurred on 1-2 July 2019. The former (Bournemouth Central) Police Station is a purpose-built Headquarters and divisional station designed by borough architect John Burton. It opened in September 1956. The building predominantly dates to the 1950s but incorporates a cell block from an earlier police station on the same site. It also includes some 1970s and 1980s extensions and alterations. The two cell blocks to the rear of the building were constructed circa 1923-33 and 1974-78 and include a previously external wall fossilised within the building. Also, there is possibly a remnant of 1890s phase fabric at lower ground level. The 1950s main range is architecturally characteristic of the period and has been subject to few external alterations. The building was vacant when recorded so the majority of office fixtures and fittings had been removed but the cells and circulations areas survived in good condition.

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. Learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and 10,348 direct Gemma labels. Candidate is the union of thresholded teacher heads; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels or direct frontier model labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
