Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

International Organization for Migration, entered into a three-year partnership agreement with Youth For Excellence Association, and launched the LGBTI Pulse Memorial Scholarship on 14 August 2016. This was the first of its kind at the UN level, then and since. At the time the description read, 'This scholarship is created to provide financial support to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex (and Queer) individuals between 18 and 26 who are pursuing a college or university degree'. It was a bold response to the Pulse Nightclub Shooting, which occurred in Orlando, Florida, two months prior on 12 June. This is the promo video I produced, in collaboration with Spiro Creative, in Vancouver, BC, who edited the final released version. The trademark registration process had already been initiated. You'll find the YouTube link to the video here: LGBTI Pulse Memorial Scholarship™ [First Promo Video - YouTube] On 30 January 2019, the last year of the three-year offering, IOM's Global Office in Brussels posted this last launch statement: IOM Launches LGBTI Pulse Memorial Scholarship Switzerland - In recognition of the various PRIDE events taking place worldwide, with its continued commitment to supporting initiatives that highlight the importance of protecting LGBTI equality, and in its effort to provide opportunities for LGBTI migrants, including refugees, IOM is launching the LGBTI Pulse Memorial Scholarship. https://globalofficebrussels.iom.int/news/iom-launches-lgbti-pulse-memorial-scholarship

Not calibrated prevalence, not ground truth. Human validation pending. The Gemma side is a direct model label for every work in the frame, read from the title-only record. The Codex side is a classifier learned from the 10,348 direct Codex labels and calibrated to design-weighted sample rates; fields without enough sample support carry no Codex call. Candidate is the union of the two sides; consensus is their intersection. These outputs are machine_predicted_unvalidated and are not human labels.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
