Abstract

fetched live from OpenAlex

Latinoamericanos. Canadá. Mosaico cultural. Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to discuss the immigration process in Canada which, as in Argentina and in the United States in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, was recipient of massive population movements, especially Europeans. When, in 1971, it was created the Secretariat for Multiculturalism, this country printed a very particular turn. Respect for identities of immigrants, preservation of their ethnic and cultural backgrounds in the context of the host society, was forming a "cultural mosaic", in constant search of social balance, which reaches to this days. We will hold us in the Latin American immigration, its composition, national circumstances that favored his departure and the internal conditions of the country, who acted as receiver, and different times and circumstances. We differentiate migration for economic reasons and those produced for political reasons, as well as settlement areas, which gave it to these shifts, a private profile. Precisely the problem of political refugees generated in Canada, an international role that many countries had not. Indeed, its humanitarian policy has positioned it as the host country of varied contingent origins with very firm state policy about it. Population census will be a necessary contribution to this analysis, to give science the increasing flow of Latin and even the position of the Spanish language in the receiving culture. Keywords: Migration flows. Latin Americans. Canada. Cultural mosaic.

Machine scores (provisional)

The two teacher heads of the student model, read on this work. A score orders the frame for review; it never asserts a category, and the validation status ships verbatim with every row.

Baseline scores from an immature model (maturity gate not passed, 7 training rounds). Scores rank; they never assert a category.
