A partir de una nota periodística escrita por la dramaturga Margarita Mendoza López en El Sol de Toluca en el año de 1954, cuyo título es “Recuerdos de Gilberto Owen Estrada. El gran poeta que fue hijo del Instituto de Toluca”, el autor de este artículo resalta los datos proporcionados en dicha nota y los contextualiza a partir de la última carta que se conoce escrita por Owen dirigida a los Garcidueñas; también reúne información y documentos acerca de la participación de Owen en el teatro Ulises en 1928. A la vez se trata de redimensionar la importancia de Margarita Mendoza López al escribir la historia del teatro en México y de Owen durante su última estancia en Norteamérica.
