Abstract
Las opciones de agricultura sostenible se han venido posicionando como alternativas frente a sistemas de alimentación tradicional, respondiendo a situaciones globales que han amenazado con la seguridad alimentaria de millones de personas, originando colectivos que adoptan propuestas como la agricultura familiar que potencian la soberanía alimentaria local y que promueven principios agroecológicos. Se presenta un estudio de caso en la vereda El Peñón del municipio de San Francisco de Sales, en Cundinamarca, caracterizando sus particularidades sociopolíticas e identificando su estado de vinculación con procesos agroecológicos mediante el reconocimiento de sus prácticas biofísicas, presentando aciertos y dificultades para finalmente establecer las necesidades formativas, sociales y políticas propias de este grupo.
